Contact courseRated as one of the Top 10 courses in Southeast Michigan (No. 3) by the Detroit Free Press, this par-71 layout plays to just under 7,000 yards. Tucked away in secluded South Lyon, this gorgeous course is complemented by a welcoming log cabin-style clubhouse that makes you feel like you’re in Yosemite National Park. The entire course offers bentgrass tees, greens and fairways along with beautiful white sand bunkers.
Designed by Michigan-based architect Ray Hearn, Moose Ridge is one of the more difficult courses in the region with a slope of 138. However, the five sets of tees allows playability for all skill levels.
Similar to Hearns’ other works, Moose Ridge is careful to achieve the proper balance of risk and reward while requiring careful strategy as you progress from shot to shot.
The par-5 fourth hole is so long (630) yards you can almost see the curvature of the Earth from the tee box. The rolling topography and excellence in design and construction entices and challenges your golf game.
